REEL - SHORT
Meg Anderson is a comedic content creator, writer, actor and improviser who loves to use her malleable facial expressions, physicality and off-beat humor to go to great lengths for a joke.
Meg has appeared on Above Average, MTV, Funny or Die!, E! Entertainment, TheKnot.com and various comedic web series and podcasts. She has performed in improv theaters and festivals around the country for the last 12 years. From 2009-2011, she created, curated and hosted the first-ever stand-up comedy show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, Comedy Night at BAMcafe, which received TimeOut NewYork's Best of 2011 Comedy Award.
She wrote and stars in the web series, "SCOTUS and the City" in which she portrays Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg hitting the dating scene with her fellow female Justices.
Meg is a founding member of one of New York's longest running long-form improv comedy teams, The Baldwins and performed more than 557 shows with them between 2007-2019. TimeOutNewYork claimed, "The Baldwins shape one of the most impressive, absurd long-form improv routines in the city." And who am I to disagree?!
As a teacher, Meg taught long-form improv at The PIT for over 8 years. She now teaches improv workshops, Object Workshop (the only class in New York that focuses on object work for improvisation) and Women's Improv (a four-week master class for women that fosters a safe environment for women to play dangerously). As a corporate improv trainer, she has lead team-building, leadership and train-the-trainer workshops for more than 4,000 participants across the country.
Performing credits/locations include:
Joe's Pub, Brooklyn Academy of Music, Comix, Union Hall, Littlefield NYC, Kraine Theater, Upright Citizens Brigade, People Improv Theater,
