BIO
Originally from Chicagoland, Meg Anderson earned a B.S. in film and television production from Boston University before moving to New York City, where she worked as a producer, writer, and performer. During this time, she learned that being an adult is, like, super hard.
As a producer, she worked for various film festivals (Sundance, Tribeca, Lake Placid, Chicago International), helped famed opera director Robert Wilson on the re-staging of Black Rider at the Mark Taper Forum and open The Watermill Center in the Hamptons, and has produced hundreds of events for dozens of art non-profit organizations (i.e., New York City Opera, Brooklyn Museum, Pilobolous), helping to raise over $30 million dollars.
As a creator, Meg has performed over 10,000 hours of comedy and has appeared in numerous commercials, web series, podcasts, and indie films. She wrote and starred in a digital series where she portrayed Ruth Bader Ginsberg, wrote and performed a sold-out one-woman show about her landlord in Queens at the SoloCom Festival, and wrote and performed in sketch shows at Upright Citizen's Brigade, The Peoples Improv Theatre (aka The PIT), the Magnet, etc. At The PIT, she taught improv classes for 8 years and was a founding member of the theater's longest-running team, The Baldwins, with whom she performed over 500 shows. Meg hosted and produced an award-winning stand-up show at the Brooklyn Academy of Music and during the pandemic, she and her husband created a digital series that aired on WNYC.
In 2023, she and her husband and their cat, Willie Nelson, moved to Los Angeles where Meg continues to write, produce and perform. She remains delighted they sell bathing suits year round out here.
